The club again exhibited at the Milwaukee Boat Show. It was unfortunate that the week was plagued with less than great weather. Also the uncertain economy has dampened the demand for new boats. This kept the crowds down for the entire show. We did make some new friends across the aisle from our booth. Deck Jet Watercraft introduced the new Surfango Powerboards at the Boat Show. Surfango makes waterjet powered kayaks, surf boards, and personal watercraft boards. We had a lot of fun at their expense and they were great sports. As a way to show our appreciation for their patience, links to Deck Jet and Surfango are below.

Display

Radio Control model boat demonstrations Saturday & Sunday
in the parking lot across the street from the museum.
Many of the finest maritime models in the country can be seen on this special weekend, when modelers from across the United States and Canada meet and take part in a modelers’ symposium, banquet, and round table discussions. R/C modelers run their boats in their boat pond across the street from the Museum. The public is welcome to view the models, talk to modelers, and even vote for the People's Choice award!
Saturday May 17: Saturday was sunny for the most part but windy. There was a good turnout of members for the event.
The model contest was well attended and as usual the quality of the models on display was excellent.
The Domes at Mitchell Park

The Domes will be having Father's Day festivities. This will be the last event at the Horticultural Conservatory this summer as the Domes will be closed from June 22 to September 19 for renovations.

The Shops at Woodlake Summer Sidewalk Sale is scheduled for July 25, 26 & 27. The WSBA exhibits and operates in the lake behind the shops on Saturday. for more information about the Shops at Woodlake see:
